Objectives of  the journal

The aim of The International Journal of Research Supervision is to disseminate practitioner knowledge related to the supervision of university and institutional based research. This supervision may encompass management, relational or teaching of research supervision.

Journal objectives include:

  • Facilitate dissemination of knowledge with a view to improving research supervision

  • To encourage sharing and deprivitisation of research supervision practice

  • To articulate constructs of 'good' research supervision.

Intended audience

The journal aims at an audience that includes Academics, Researchers, Research Supervisors and Coaches and Post-graduate Research Students.
